About Us
Convenient, wholesome protein is one the most difficult things to incorporate into a busy and active lifestyle, but is also one the most important. I found it easy to bring a piece of fruit, nuts or some veggies with me when I knew I would have a busy day or be traveling. Carrying around nice piece of grilled chicken or fish (or other source of protein) proved to be more difficult. Repeatedly confronted with this challenge (an incomplete breakfast, lunch or snack), led me to create Source Organic Whey Protein, a complete organic protein that you can bring anywhere and have anytime.
In creating Source, I also wanted something that you could feel good about on every level. With Source Organic Whey Protein, you can feel good about the product from start to finish. Beginning with supporting small, local dairy farms with grass-fed cows, to a LEED certified whey plant, to the hand packaging of each bag by a certified organic handler using 100% biodegradable bags, and ending with a portion of our profits going to sponsor community events.

Al doesn’t just like good food and supporting local farmers, he is also a registered dietitian (RD) with degrees in Exercise Physiology, Food Science and Human Nutrition, and a Master’s degree in Human Performance. Al’s love for good nutrition and the outdoors grew from a five year career as a track and cross country athlete at the University of Florida. Performance Sports Nutrition, Inc., is the parent company of Source.
